Monthly Discussion Group

In this discussion group we explore the journey of growing older from a Buddhist perspective. This Fall, we will return to The Five Invitations: Discovering What Death Can Teach Us About Living Fully, by renowned Zen Buddhist teacher and cofounder of the Zen Hospice Project Frank Ostaseski. Please join us for a deeper dive into the rich teachings to be found in this book.

The Five Invitations is a request to show up and be fully present for every aspect of your life. It sheds light on the preciousness of every moment and reminds us that the best preparation for death is forging an authentic and meaningful life free of regret.

Andrea has been collaborating and presenting the Five Invitations with the director of a tri-county hospice organization and a chaplain at a children’s hospital who is also a Buddhist nun. There is much to be gained by spending time delving into Frank Ostaseski’s insights, and we have developed interactive activities for each invitation. We hope you will join us as we continue our journey.

"This book distills a compassionate shepherd's lifelong experience with death and dying. You will never forget it."

– Bill Moyers
